5 Tips To Prepare For Sunday Service

Are You Always Late To Church? 5 Tips To Help You Prepare for Sunday Service

If you are always late to church, this is your cue to stop, starting from next Sunday! Adequate preparation ahead of Sunday helps you get more out of your church experience. If we say we love God then we should render meaningful worship to Him and sometimes this includes preparing and paying attention to the necessary details that may hinder us from being in church.

Here are 5 important tips that will help transform your Sunday morning routine and make you enjoy service better ;

Even athletes prepare for important games and competitions ahead of the actual day or even. We too as believers should prepare adequately for Sunday worship as it is an invitation to meet with God and fellowship in His presence.

1) Start On Saturday

If you are serious about getting to church on time and meeting up with church service then your preparations must begin from Saturday night.

Choose and prepare your Sunday clothes, set out Bibles, notebooks, and offering, plan your morning schedule especially if you have kids and set appropriate bedtime for adequate rest. Early to bed, early to rise!

2. Pray & Meditate On God's Word

Prayers and meditation does not only give you the ability to make it to church early, it spiritually prepares you to receive from God and go with an expectation from the service

Spend time in prayer, review previous sermon notes, read upcoming devotional passages and clear your mind of weekly distractions

3. Carry Your Family Along

No matter how prepared you are for church, a delaying family member on a Sunday morning can ruin your plans very quickly. Especially if you are a parent, it's important for you to communicate the need to get to church early and get everyone onboard with the plan.

Communicate wake-up times, plan breakfasts very early enough, Prepare your children's items a day before or supervise them to get it done earlier if they are old enough. Also set multiple alarms for everyone if needed.

4. Wake Up Early

Sundays are not the days to spend an extra hour tossing in bed and unwilling to get up. If you want to get to church early, then you need to start by waking up early enough time before service time to avoid rushing

Set alarms so you are jolted from your sleep if necessary. Give allowance for extra timing incase of unexpected delays. Maintain a peaceful morning atmosphere so you don't have to spend time fussing on a Sunday morning.

5. Prepare Your Heart

No matter how prepared you are in other areas, if you have an unprepared heart towards Sunday services, you are as good as not any other member who decides to skip service that day because you just wasted your time in fellowship.

You can have a brief devotional time when you wake up, pray for your pastor and church family and listen to worship music as you drive to church. Cultivate an expectant attitude and open your heart to God's message during the service.

Conclusion

Preparing for Sunday service is an act of worship itself. When we take time to prepare properly, we demonstrate our commitment to God and position ourselves to receive maximum benefit from corporate worship. Start implementing these tips this week, and watch how they transform your Sunday morning experience.
